10k is a short version for the number 10,000, which is symbolized as a circle in the Cyrillic numeric script. Our logo combines these two elements and represents the self-contained cycle of development, production and sales which we handle internally and independently.

Due to the short ways of our in-house creation and own production facility we can react quickly to a constantly developing market and continuously integrate new technologies that lead to greater sustainability, reduce overproduction and ensure consistent quality.

For the transparent tracking of our products, we give each garment a production code. This code refers to our production facility in Turkey and to our office in Berlin, as well as to the quarter or season in which the product was launched.

We strive for the greatest possible durability for our garments. Therefore, we are constantly developing our fabrics in an on-going process to find the best way to make them sustainable and lasting.

By specifying texture, weight and color, we are able to precisely define the visual and tactile appearance of each 10k garment. We only use long staple cotton fibers to create a product that is long-lasting and meets our high standards.

Current fabrics:
● 320 g/m², 100% Organic Cotton, inside: Diagonal Fleece, outside: Carbon Mirco Brush for extra soft surface feel.
● 340 g/m², 100 % Organic Cotton, inside: Diagonal Fleece, outside: Carbon Mirco Brush for especially soft surface haptics
● 185 g/m², 100 % Organic Cotton, Single Jersey

Future fabrics:
● 420 g/m², 100 % Organic Cotton: Diagonal 3 End Fleece, inside: French Terry
● 200 g/m², 100 % Organic Cotton: Single Jersey

All 10k garments are produced in our partner production facility in Kahramanmaraş (Turkey) which exists since 1989. By leveraging these infrastructural advantages of the established textile industry in the region, we are able to keep the distances short between cotton knitters and the manufacturing. This has a positive effect on our carbon footprint.

We want to make sustainability a standard.

Therefore, our production complies with Ökotex® Standard 100, GOTS guidelines and is BSCI certified. We use 100% organic cotton sourced from the United States and Turkey for all our garments. Our textile dyeing processes, as well as prints, knitwear and embroidery, comply with the Global Organic Textile Standard.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading standard for processing textiles made from organically produced natural fibers. It defines all environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain and requires compliance with social criteria such as free choice of employment and minimum wage.

All chemical additives used, such as dyes, must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria. Quality assurance is achieved through independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. (Further information: www.global-standard.org)
